, Marcus Lemonis is in Crestwood, Illinois hoping to make a deal with Simply Slices. Simply Slices is a small pizza chain outside of Chicago run by the Pavoni family. The father Dino wants to take his drive-thru pizza concept nationwide. Dino is a control freak and is resistant to change which alienates potential franchisees. It is also causing relationship issues between him and his family.

- In a Chicago Tribune article, Dino said he ended up on the show after trying out for ABC’s Shark Tank a few times. He hoped Marcus Lemonis could help him franchise Simply Slices. The Deal From The Episode Plus Post-Show Updates (this will be updated continually):- The Deal - $200,000 for 50% of the franchise concept. Marcus will allow the Pavoni family to run their two restaurants and Marcus will get his team of 30 plus people to help try to expand the franchise.
- We all saw this coming from watching the episode....Marcus walked away from the deal.

- UPDATE - After the episode aired, Simply Slices deactivated all of their social media accounts. Also fans of The Profit started leaving 1-star reviews for Simply Slices on Yelp, so Yelp has the page as flagged and is trying to clean up those reviews.
